Last Saturday when we went to Portobello Road, we past a band preforming on the side. I stopped for a little and I remember thinking "man they are really good!" It turned out they were having a concert later in the week. I didn't end up going, but a few people on my trip did. They came home talking about how amazing it was and how the band was awesome.
So fast forward to yesterday, a few of us found our way back to Portobello Road. We passed by them, and the band actually remembered some of the people I was with, since they went to their concert. They told us to come back in about half an hour, by then they would be done setting up. So after buying some crepes, a watch, and some chocolate, we walked back up to where they were. We got up to the front and the band was happy to see us. During their break, the singer came up to us and asked if we could stick around because they would be filming a music video in a little. Um. Heck yes.
We were in the very front. When the camera was on the crowd, it was basically on us. We were asked to sing and dance along to the song. It was awesome. We then got to walk/dance down the street with the band. We were of course still in the very front.
(See? We really were in the very front)
It was tons of fun. We ended up staying there for a good two hours. They were talking about hopefully touring in the United States soon, so we were trying to convince them to make their way down to Provo. I even offerend my apartment up to them if they needed a place to stay... (sorry roommates).
So I'm not quite famous yet, but I am pretty sure my career will take off once the music video gets out. I'll keep everyone posted. Also, you should really take a look at their music. They are awesome!
