Happy 4th!

It is very different celebrating independence day in the country we became independent from. I'll admit, I was pretty sad that I wouldn't be able to spend it with my family, but I think we made the best of it. We started the day off right by listening to patriotic songs, such as Kids in America and Party in the USA, while we were eating breakfast. After doing some homework, we made our way to the National Theater to see Antigone... which was awesome!

That was Greek though. We needed to do SOMETHING american... we decided to go to Byrons, this super dank burger place, for lunch. Even the sign was patriotic.

Whats more USA then burgers and milkshakes right?

It was so good, but I was so full I wanted to die. I couldn't wait to take a little nap, but by the time we got back to our flat, we had thirty minutes til we had to scurry off to our next adventure. So after 15 minutes of sleeping on the couch, we got ready to go see the Royal Ballet preform in the Royal Opera house. Oh. My. Amazing. They preformed three shorter ballets. The last one was called Les Noces. It was Russian, and there were actually some opera singers that accompanied it. I didn't really know what was going on during it, but the dancing and the music was phenomenal. Ugh. I feel like I have been missing out on so much culture my whole life! I swear if I lived in London I would go broke so fast. I would just want to see every show. The opera house was beautiful as well. I forget to take pictures so I stole some off the internet, but here is what it looks like-

We ended the night by stopping in this cute little cafe for some pizza and gelato. And some great conversation of course.
